Another Son rises, like phoenix out of the ashes. I don’t know what is wrong with us Indians that we always have sons rising in almost all the fields. Is it just the Indians or it is more a human symptom? With George Bush, Kennedy etc it can be said to be a world over symptom especially in the world of politics.

Look at the scions following the papa or mama dearest in politics for example the Gandhi family, the Devi lal family, the badal family and of course dear old Thackeray from our aamchi Mumbai. Many of these guys made a career out of vilifying the tradition of pushing kids in to politics until of course their own junior grew up and had nothing else to do but join politics. Papa’s money and gullible idiots for voters it is very easy to push junior into politics. It does not matter junior has done nothing of note other than being lucky to be born in to the family. It helped that sycophants hanging around in the party started worshiping the very ground junior started treading on, otherwise how could a learned person like Dr.Manmohan Singh say Rahul is the future of UP.

I am sure some of us would give example of George Bush but I think we Indians take the cake for allowing the culture of son taking over to prevail in all walks of life. Be it politics, movies, cricket we have sons/daughters pushed in to all these glamorous fields by the family.  

I have seen these syndromes more with sons than daughters. I recently watched an interview where Dharmendra was very unhappy with daughter Esha being in the movie industry while at the same time he is quite proud of putur Sunny and Bobby. Only reason someone like Bobby Deol could survive is because of his dad and of course the stupid public. Look at the hype we are creating around Abhishek and the Bachchan clan.

So let me join the crowd and sing hosannas to latest scion to join the Indian realm.
